My
research interest is the improvement of the radio-astronomy dirty image
so that better images are obtained after deconvolution (e.g., CLEAN,
MEM).
Recently I developed a new algorithm, the Adaptive Selective Sidelobe Canceller (ASSC) Beamformer.
The images on this site demonstrate significant improvement and
excellent resilient to out-of-FOV interference (such as terrestrial
radiators).
We are now looking to cooperate with radio astronomers and apply the ASSC algorithm to the visibility data of their research
subject. Hopefully new astronomy data is discovered with the help
of the ASSC algorithm.
